Happy Mother's Day

My Mom used to read children's books aloud for me. In fact, she reads the same story twice or more, with her clear, articulate and well-carrying voice, unlike mine.

This covered low table is KOTATSU, with a heat source underneath, which plays a big role at home in the winter season. There was a rattan basket filled with MIKAN oranges (mandarins) within arm's reach. Do you happen to know if it was too many oranges that made my hands orange yellow, by the way ?

これは冬になると登場するコタツ。手の届くところに蜜柑を入れた籐の籠がありました。ところで、蜜柑を食べ過ぎると手が黄色くなるものなのでしょうか？
