Typhoon 21 damaged my parents’ house

Typhoon Jebi (Typhoon 21) struck the Japanese cities of Kobe, Osaka and my home town Kyoto on Tuesday, 4 September. My parents’ house also suffered a power outage. I was very worried because I could not get in touch with my parents until my mother was able to charge her mobile phones at a nearby inn on the 7th. My parents’ house is next to the Higashiyama mountain and a huge tree fell to their home and damaged the house. The fallen tree had to be removed slowly to prevent any further damage. I asked my mother to take photos of the damage. Unfortunately she couldn’t find the right angles to fully capture the damage on camera because our house was covered with many other fallen trees. I will upload photo to show what the house looked like before I came to the Netherlands to the end. I wish this damage was a dream. My mother said that it will take at least a month to remove the tree. My mother is concerned that I worry too much about them because she knows that I am busy taking care of my sons while my husband is in Japan. But I can't help not to worry. I am glad to hear though that my parents are okay.
