Hometown for the first time in 3 years

On my way to Osaka, I happened to come across the Yamaboko Junko float in the Gion Festival at Shijo Karasuma.

The Gion Festival was held for the first time in three years due to the spread of Covid-19.

The Gion Festival is one of Japan’s three great festivals.

It takes place throughout the entire month of July. Yamaboko Junko of "Sakimatsuri" was held on July 17th, and 23 Yamaboko decorated with gorgeous items were paraded throughout the city centre in Kyoto while playing "Gion Music"

The highlight of this festival is the Yamahoko Junko.
